In an age where most service industry establishments possibly endure more brickbats than bouquets and some reviewers seem to revel in a perceived feeling of power, picking holes in every tiny little thing, if and when we receive good service, we MUST comment on it, if only a short sentence. Simply to level up the playing field as you can bet that most will write a tome over the simplest and most trivial issue, just itching to use the " C " word. Not the one you are possibly thinking of, on this occasion it is COMPENSATION!!!Wanting to lead by example... Here goes. We have been going to TJ Motors for quite a few years new with many different cars. I have never known an issue, minor or major that Trevor and his team have not been able to resolve. There is a very strong ability to apply lateral thinking and to think " outside the box " with any and every problem encountered. We have been more than grateful for this skill and many others they possess on numerous occasions. This includes the prep work for the MOT on my wife's 4 year old Nissan Pulsar earlier this week. Rang Trevor Monday, booked in the same day for any work required, couple of tyres, indicator lens and a soon to become, humongous pain in the gluteus maximus front shock absorber. Only available from Nissan, not a single one in the country and the asking price, almost as much as last week's royal wedding! Ok, not quite, but in excess of four figures, plus the V.A.T. Despite the personal pain, mental anguish, wailing, ringing of hands & nashing of teeth, Trevor experienced in his quest for the elusive part, he soldiered on. It may have been easier trying to find the Golden Fleece, Roman Eagle or The Lost Treasure of the Incas?Needles to say, my opening statement still rings true:- " I have never known an issue, minor or major that Trevor and his team have not been able to resolve. "Part sourced, MOT passed, wife happy to have her car back so quickly and before the end of the week, world can start spinning again and return to it's regular axis. Thank you to Trevor and everyone at TJ Motors, for your usual prompt, professional unflustered, courteous, fairly priced, excellent repair work and customer service. All of this and a bonus, total bill, parts, labour& V.A.T. less than 50% of what Nissan wanted for one shock absorber, so I am happy as well. I would have been happier if my wife had paid the bill, but some dreams will remain forever that...dreams. If you find yourself at this humble little garage/workshop, please do not judge on the location and the establishment, as in my humble opinion, you will be making a mistake. All that glitters is not gold. Look at the cars usually outside, take a look at an read the website and see how busy they always are. To coin a phrase, this is one of Oxted/Hurst Greens best kept secrets.
