Great tours. I've just returned from one. Impressive road knowledge from drivers , of course. But , a very rickety coach. Should've prefered to stay on the un-air-coditioned Feeder coach. Plastic sweet wrappers awaiting the brave , waiting to be discoved , inside the stiff , pull-down seat trays , from the vehicle's last time out , ( perhaps the last one ! ) : " Rainbow " , something-or-other, so the packet's memory declared.I think perhaps the Driver should look , not stare, but at least look , at you , occasionally, when you're speaking to him , rather than at the paperwork. Boring though small-talk can be , enthusiastic-pretence is one of the job's hazards . Perhaps those who have to hold on in even a stationery coach , might be offered an outstreached hand , at the bottom of the coach steps , upon alighting , rather than be wished well from the Driver , as they take the steep plunge, possibly to an early bath. Even if they still fell , it should have showed willing. Whoever writes the Booklet Notes has received Doctor of Literature with Honours for clichs.But , as before said , the tours are taken by competent , careful Drivers . How they negotiate those country lanes , and old narrow entrance ways to Country Estates is very impressive indeed.
A great bunch of drivers. Polite. Funny. Great sense of humour. Nice driving for them.
