If I could give minus stars for this branch I would. The sales assistants there are awful. They just take your money, order the wrong size or carpet and then never call back when they say they will. i've had to call them on more than 5 occasions to get an answer or chase up on when they things will arrive and what needs to be done. They are a joke and would say to avoid at all costs.
Wow! Possible the worst service I have ever received from any company ever! Be warned!I booked via the website for Carpetright to come a measure my kitchen which they duly did. I then called to order the vinyl only to be told they could find the measurements. They came out again to measure my kitchen (we are now 2 weeks into the process). This time they had the measurements so I ordered and payed for the vinyl for the kitchen and was told I would receive a call from the fitters on the 9th to arrange fitting. Guess what? No call! I then called Oxted Carpetright who said they would call fitters and call me back. Guess what? No callback! I was then unable to get through on the phone (nobody picking up) so had to call next day. This time a very helpful Lady answered and repeated that she would call fitters and then call me back. This time she actually did call me back but only to say she couldn't get hold of the fitters and would call me tomorrow. Next day after no call I called them in the afternoon. The same lady then finally got around to contacting fitters and this time I got a fitting date which was another 2 weeks away (at least it's going to happen right?).Fitters turned up and said 1) The measurements that Carpetright undertook were incorrect! 2) The vinyl that Carpetright had sold me was unsuitable for kitchens! I am now waiting for the manager to come back from holiday so I can get a refund. Shocking company and needless to say will never use again!
Awful awful experience. The staff in the Oxted store seem to be absolutely clueless. Our carpet took weeks longer than we were told and when they turned up they were missing a whole room which had been measured incorrectly. The fitting was organised badly - the fitters werent aware that the store had agreed to cover the cost of moving furniture. Ive spent so much time on the phone to the store (when I can get through) that they are one of my most frequently dialled numbers.The only saving grace is Pete the fitter who is a legend. Im still waiting for a call about compensation for the inconvenience we suffered.I wouldnt recommend them and will not be shopping there again!
These guys are a joke. They just shut up shop whenever they feel like it. The team are totally incompetent and I have been trying to spend money with then for a week. I am now going to go elsewhere. It is no wonder the company are in trouble
Pathetic. On six occasions the fitters were unable to lay our carpets/flooring due to stock being ordered by the branch incorrectly, stored in the wrong place or cut to the wrong shape. No ownership of the issue taken in store, where management is ineffective at best and staff show little to no interest in the problems (Its not always this bad was the closest we got to an apology). Customer Services were initially unresponsive before eventually offering a derisory amount of compensation (or a refund on the proviso that they would then come and remove our carpets). Hard lesson learned.
