Dreadful shop and even worse pharmacy. They refused to fill a prescription for me because they said the practitioner who signed it was not authorised to do so. I went back to them and they were cross on my behalf and confirmed not only were they authorised but they had been doing similar prescriptions for 25 years. I went to a different pharmacy and didnt have a problem.Go to paydens!
One week before Christmas, lunchtime 1pm and they had just one shop assistant taking money with a queue of 10 people. The 1 shop assistant got held up with a customer, no manager on site, just a few staff looking after pharmacy. They had a security guard on the door - presumably in case any of us legged it in frustration! Only when I raised my voice to enquire who was in charge and was there someone that could take some money did any staff appear. Appalling management! This is not an isolated incident - is it not sensible to roster staff to take their lunch hour away from 1 - 2pm?
The road is on a hill. The store is a good store with a wide variety of different things on sale, beside standard services for photos ( digital ) and pharmacy.
Very unhelpful pharmacist, told me nothing they could do. Walked down the road to payden's and they sorted the problem in five minutes. AVOID!
Just what a boots should be. Nice large store with everything you need. Staff on till might be a bit happier. Have to wait a bit longer than usual but a busy store so expected
