Top quality service only too often overlooked these days. Went in as I lost the bolts to a TV mounting kit I bought elsewhere and the owner had some spare and let me have them for free, a really nice guy, thank you. I've been a customer before and each time I've come away with what I've needed.
I called Oxted Electrical at 5pm on Saturday to check they'd be staying open as I was coming over to buy some leads. "I'm on foot and I'll only be 15 minutes," I said. I was taking a DVD player over to make sure I was buying the correct lead and I wanted to ensure they weren't going to shut by the time I got there. "No problem," the guy said, "you'll either speak to myself or a colleague." You can probably guess what happened next.., I arrived at 16 mins past the hour and they were shut. Terrible, terrible service, only admissible if in that 16 minutes they had a life or death emergency and had to shut the shop, though in probability I expect they decided to knock off early. Shoddy. Not only am I miffed, I also don't have anything to watch all weekend. Thanks guys.
